Slo-Pitch work at Softball City in Rayleigh BC is speeding up…
Friday June 11th -
The City of Kamloops finally announced and has awarded a contract for the first-phase of construction for the slo-pitch park in Rayleigh. Southgate Developments won a $122,000 bid for the demolition and concrete crushing of the 17 buildings at the Rayleigh site project.
The second-phase contracts were awarded in May to Demidoff Equipment Ltd. - $2.1 million for grading and servicing, and to Acres Enterprises $1.5 million for landscaping & irrigation, and $845,000 for fencing & backstops for the new Rayleigh Softball City park.
The facility, which is expected to be complete by spring 2011, (lets wait & see!) will feature eight diamonds to start, and 10 when fully built, along with concessionary plaza, parking, 3 soccer-sized rugby fields and a walking trail around the perimeter of the 300-arce park.
Full site map of the park can be seen on site location in Rayleigh or at Mac Island Park
